How Hybrid Motors Work to Lessen Emissions

The automobile industry has been creating cars that are proving to be a major threat to the planet and its environment. Cars that run on fuel give out harmful emissions that only contribute to the already increasing population of the air. Major automobile companies have recognized the need for cars that are more eco-friendly and which can help people to continue commuting without causing so much pollution. Another major reason for the need of such eco-friendly cars is the rapid consumption of non-renewable fuel to such a point that at this rate there will soon be a scarcity of fuel in the world. The hybrid motor was introduced to take care of these problems. Car companies are all investing in making more cars that have hybrid motors because of their eco-friendliness. Hybrid cars have become increasingly popular among people all over the world.

Hybrid cars contain both the fuel combustion engine as well as a hybrid battery that runs on electric power. The car uses both the fuel as well as the electric power to run on the roads. Traditional vehicles only have the fuel combustion engine that runs only on fuel. In a hybrid motor car, the engine does not run on fuel but instead acts as a generator that has pre-stored electric power that is used to run the car. In a hybrid car, the engines charge up an alternative generator when the car is running. When the batteries of the generator have enough power stored up, the power switches from the gas engine to the generator and continues to run on the electric power supplied by the generator until it gets used up completely. When this happens, the power switched back to the gas engine which runs that car and charges up the generator again and the process continues as long as the car is running. A hybrid engine avoids emitting as many harmful emissions as a normal gas engine does because of the continuous shift of power supplying. Hybrid cars usually contain two electric motors that are attached to the front and the back wheels of the vehicle. The computer in the car controls the energy flowing to these engines according to the demands of the driver. When the driver accelerates, the computer sends more energy to increase the rotation of the wheels thus providing more torque. When the car has attained a certain speed and maintains that speed, the computer reduces the flow of energy to the motors and might even shut it down completely and the car continues to cruise.
